How We Met

When they starting dating in 2006, Krista and Joe discovered they had a lot in common. They both enjoy being outdoors, camping, fishing and most of all spending time with family and friends. After being together for 5 years they got married.

The date they chose, September 26, was special to both of them as it was Krista's grandparents 50th Wedding Anniversary as well as the date her parents and aunt and uncle were married on. It was a day to remember and celebrate for a lifetime.

Soon after they were married they started trying for a family. They were told they wouldn't be able to have kids of their own. To their surprise, they ended up pregnant. However, soon after suffered the heartbreak of a loss.

They knew in their hearts that their next journey would be adoption.
